1 | General

On receipt of these terms and conditions, please read through them thoroughly for they relate to the booking you have made with The George Hotel. Should you wish to discuss any element contained within these terms and conditions, please contact the hotel immediately upon their receipt. All elements are enforced at the time of booking, unless special exemption has been negotiated with senior management and the client. No variation to these conditions shall be effective, unless made in writing and signed on behalf of the George Hotel and the client.

2 | Deposits/Bookings

The deposit requested for all bookings are non-refundable. Deposits are requested for all bookings. Final payment must be made in full 2 weeks before your arrival date.

Bookings must be guaranteed by Credit/Debit Card.

By giving us your credit card details you are authorising us to charge it in full for your accommodation.

Your Personal Details:
Your personal details will not be sold on or passed on to third parties. Your Credit Card details are not kept in any form and are securely deleted after your stay is completed.

Group bookings may have a different policy depending on numbers and details will be made known to the client at the time of booking.

The client shall give details of the final numbers of group bookings not less than 14 days prior to the event and this will be the minimum number charged. The acceptance of any increase over the previously advised number will be at the hotel’s discretion and availability of rooms.

Bookings are personal to the Client and may not be assigned or transferred by the Client.

Children occupying separate rooms will be charged the adult tariff.

A deposit of £10.00 pppn will be charged.

A complementary continental breakfast is provided for guests staying at the hotel.

3 | Cancellations

Rooms cancelled within 24 hours of the time of arrival, 6pm local time, will be subject to a cancellation charge of 100% of the first nights accommodation.

Whilst every effort is made to fulfil any particular requests which you may have in relation to your stay with us, we cannot unfortunately guarantee that we will be able to meet any particular requests which you may make and our failure in this regard will not constitute a breach of contract. In the unlikely event that we have to change or cancel your reservation, we reserve the right to do so. However, you have the right to accept the changed arrangements as notified or cancel your reservation.

4 | Cancellation by the Hotel

The hotel reserves the right to cancel a booking, offering a full refund of all monies paid and incurring no penalty, in the following circumstances:
a) Should the specific hotel facilities booked, become unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances.
b) Should the hotel have reasonable suspicion that the client has an intention to not fulfil their contractual obligation and proof be forthcoming of this, the hotel reserves the right to seek compensation for any losses it may incur.
c) Should requested deposits not be forthcoming within an agreed time frame.

5 | Checking In

Standard check in time is 14.00 and check out time is 11.00hrs. If you wish to arrange a later check in time please arrange with management.

6 | Client Responsibilities

Clients and their guests are required to conduct themselves in a reasonable manner at all times: Unruly clients and their guests will be evicted with no refund of monies paid The hotel reserves the right to hold the client liable for any loss or damage to The George Hotel’s property, fixtures and fittings, (including the loss of any hotel keys). They may also be held liable for injury to any person including The George Hotel’s staff which arises from the clients actions. Clients or their guests may not consume food or drink on the premises that has not been supplied by the hotel without prior consent of the management.

The maximum number of people allowed in the room is clearly stated and must not be exceeded. We reserve the right to terminate the hire without notice and without refund in case of a breach in this condition.

Guests’ liability for their account is not waived, and guests agree to be held personally liable in the event that any member of their party/group, fails to pay all or part of any charges incurred.

7 | Our Responsibilities

The hotel will not be liable for any failure to provide, or delay in providing, facilities or services as a result of events or matters outside the hotels control The hotel will take all reasonable steps to ensure that the requirements of each client are met. However, the hotel reserves the right to provide alternative services of at least comparable standard at no extra cost to the client

The George Hotel will be liable to the client for injury , loss or damage to property, only where and to the extent that it has been negligent but otherwise will be under no liability to them whatsoever.

8 | No Smoking

The George Hotel is a no smoking house - both bedrooms and public areas and of course the dining room….. Thank you!

9 | Pets

Although we appreciate our animal friends - pets are not allowed at the George Hotel.. Sorry!
Unfortunately the George Hotel does not have a Lift and is not suitable for people with walking disabilities.

10 | And Finally

Whilst the hotel has taken reasonable steps to ensure that information contained within its brochures, tariffs, leaflets, website and other advertisement materials is accurate, it reserves the right to alter, substitute or withdraw any service, facility or amenity without notice if necessary.
